The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls roughly 175,000 linear PERS, or Personal Emergency Reporting System, transmitters. The batteries used in the transmitters can fail to issue a low batter warning, the CPSC said.
The transmitters can be worn on the wrist, around the neck or as a belt cup.
