(RNN) - U.S. officials said they apprehended the alleged mastermind of the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed four Americans.

The suspect is expected to be brought to U.S. soil to face charges for his role in the attack.

General Motors CEO Mary Barra testified on Capitol Hill about the company's internal investigation of an ignition switch defect linked to 13 deaths.

House Republicans have elected Rep. Kevin McCarthy of California as majority leader, replacing Eric Cantor.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
