PSE&G urges all eligible customers to apply by June 30

NEWARK, N.J., June 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PSE&G is reminding its customers that Monday, June 30, is the deadline to apply for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

Public Service Enterprise Group (PEG) is a publicly traded diversified energy company with annual revenues of $10 billion. Its operating subsidiaries are: PSEG Power, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) and PSEG Long Island. For more information visit

The LIHEAP program helps pay heating costs and, in some circumstances, medically necessary cooling expenses. PSE&G customers who meet the guidelines for LIHEAP typically receive about $300 toward their PSE&G bill. The deadline to apply was extended this year from April 30 to June 30.

"Winter is behind us, but it's not too late for low-income households to apply to LIHEAP," said Joseph A. Forline, PSE&G's vice president for customer solutions. "Thanks to the deadline extension, there's still time for families to take advantage of this important program."
