CHARLESTON, SC -
Charleston Southern will play the first four night games in program history – all in September – to open the season, as CSU announced its kickoff times for the 2014 home schedule on Thursday.

The Buccaneers will open the season on Thursday, Aug. 28 with a 7 p.m. kickoff against Point (Ga.) in the first night game in school history.

A visit from Newberry nine days later on Sept. 6 will kick at 6 p.m. CSU will host Campbell in a second Thursday night game on Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.

CSU closes out its four-game home stand to open the season with a 6 p.m. kickoff against crosstown rival The Citadel on Sept. 20. The Bucs beat the Bulldogs last season in their opener, 32-29.

The Bucs will host Presbyterian in their Big South Conference opener on October 18 for Homecoming 2014 at 3 p.m. before Gardner-Webb visits on Nov. 8 for an 11 a.m. kick on Senior Day.

Kickoff times for games against SEC opponents Vanderbilt (Oct. 11) and Georgia (Nov. 22) are not expected to be announced until the weeks before each game.

Times have also been set for November road games at Monmouth and Liberty.
