More than 200 dogs removed from TN home

MCDONALD, TN (WFLX) - More than 200 dogs are now looking for forever homes after being found living in deplorable conditions at a Tennessee home.

"These guys have suffered enough, and we're going to do all that we can to get them happy and healthy and get them some good homes," says Pet Placement Center employee Charles Brown. SPCA volunteers say they counted 237 dogs in one building and another 12 dogs were found inside the home.

Volunteers say many of the dogs were crammed five to a cage and were standing in their own feces. Some of the dogs were taken to rescue centers while others were sent straight to the animal hospital barely alive.
