Man charged after barricade situation, held on $750,000 bond

(WMC) – A man at the center of a dangerous barricade situation that played out in North Memphis was in court on Tuesday.

Rodenick Winston, 24, is charged with two counts of attempted murder and theft of property.

Investigators say Winston fired at officers after they showed up to serve a drug warrant on Monday. He then barricaded himself inside at home on Maple Drive.

Five people were at the home; three inside the home were detained for questioning.

Winston was later arrested without incident. No one was injured.

He was in court Tuesday morning and is rescheduled for July 9. Winston is being held in jail on a $750,000 bond.
