Former USM RB Tyre Bracken transferring to Southern University

According to WAFB-TV, former Southern Miss running back Tyre Bracken is transferring to Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.

Bracken rushed for 144 yards and tallied 301 yards receiving for the Black and Gold in 2013.

As a senior at White Castle High School in the Baton Rouge area, Bracken rushed for nearly 1,800 yards and 21 touchdowns and led the Bulldogs to their only state championship in football as a junior.

Bracken played in 21 games for the Golden Eagles over two seasons.

He was dismissed from the team in January of this year.
