MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) – A man escaped serious injury when a huge tree fell on at least two cars in South Memphis in the 400 block of South Parkway East, which is just east of South Third Street near Patton Park.

A gigantic tree came crashing down on two cars below, narrowly missing Terrence Dean around midnight on Monday. Dean says after he realized he was in danger, he barely had any time to get out of the way.

"I was just walking to my car and a tree fell down," he said. "I was trying to get out of the way and hurt myself ... Just feel blessed right now."

Dean escaped the falling tree with just minor scratches and a few bruises, but he says he's thankful to be alive. No one else was hurt.
