Police search for Family Dollar robbery suspect

MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC) - A Memphis store was robbed Saturday morning and police are asking residents to help identify the suspect.

At 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, officers responded to a robbery call at Family Dollar, located at 3315 East Shelby Drive.

According to witnesses, the suspect brandished a silver handgun and demanded money. After he was given an undetermined amount of cash from the registers, the suspect then fled on foot.

The person in question is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, roughly 190 pounds, and was seen wearing a red shirt with the word 'Arkansas' in white letters, black jeans, black shoes and a white and gray baseball cap with an orange bib.
