Sumrall florist makes casket spray for Bobby Chain

SUMRALL, MS (WDAM) - Viewing for former Hattiesburg mayor, entrepreneur and philanthropist Bobby Chain was held Monday.

The Chain's family longtime florist designer, Judy Russell spent the day making a casket spray along with several wreaths. Russell has been decorating for the Chain's for 15 years; she decorates their home for Christmas time every year and said she will truly miss Bobby Chain Lee.

"It takes me around four hours to do one like this," said Russell. "It's not very often I do one this large, but it takes about four hours and there's probably three hundred roses in it."

Chain's funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Hattiesburg. Viewing will be held an hour before the service.

Russell also made Steve McNair's casket spray in 2009.
