Forrest County adds two new precincts

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Two new precincts have been added to Forrest County, if you plan to vote Tuesday, make sure you know your designated precinct. 

A precinct has been added in Richburg. That polling place will be at Grace Temple Ministries, which is located in Hattiesburg at 1131 Richburg road.

A precinct has also been added in the Sheeplo Community. That polling place will be at Piney Grove Masonic Lodge located in Petal at 139 Sheeplo Loop.

If you would like to know your designated precinct, make sure to contact your local circuit clerk’s office. Precincts will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

    On July 10, 2017, 16 servicemen were killed when a KC-130 crashed in a soybean field in Leflore County.  The plane flew out of Cherry Point, North Carolina on its way to deliver personnel and equipment to the Naval Air Field El Centro, California when it went down in Mississippi.  15 U.S. Marines and one Navy Corpsman were killed.
