Wesley Medical Center hosts free makeovers for women undergoing Cancer treatment

Hattiesburg, MS – Look Good Feel Better, an organization dedicated to improving the self-esteem of women facing cancer, is offering makeover sessions for women undergoing cancer treatment. The event, to be held at the Orchid Room at Wesley Medical Center on June 9, will teach beauty techniques to cancer patients to help them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment.

 

Look Good Feel Better group programs are open to all women with cancer who are undergoing, preparing for, or recovering from, chemotherapy, radiation, or other forms of treatment. The makeover session is free, but does require an appointment. Space is limited and registration is required by June 6.

    People from all over the state came to Hattiesburg to cheer on their favorite team during the University of Southern Mississippi versus Mississippi State baseball game.  Executive Director of Visit Hattiesburg Marlo Dorsey says that the city has the red carpet rolled out to anyone coming to the city to have a good time the weekend of the game.  "This is what tourism is all about," says Dorsey.
