MYRTLE BEACH, SC (RNN) - Three people were shot and killed at the Bermuda Sands late Saturday night, according to WMBF.

Three of the victims were found dead on the scene, according to Capt. David Knipes of the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

One person was reported to have been shot several times, and was taken to the hospital.

An apparent witness said to WMBF that the violence started with a fight on the street in the beachside city.

South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was investigating at the motel scene as of early Sunday morning, according to WIS, collecting forensic and ballistic evidence.

Jody Barr, a WIS reporter on the scene, said that investigators were focusing on the second floor of the motel and that blood stains were visible.

The violence in South Carolina comes a day after a 22-year-old man stabbed and shot several people in Santa Barbara, CA, killing six before apparently taking his own life.

According to WIS, Saturday marked the second day of the Atlantic Bike Fest - a weekend rally for sports bike enthusiasts held from May 23 to May 26.
