CPSC recalls Legrand Wiremold power strips

The Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls nearly 50,000 under-cabinet power.  The recall is because they can overheat and start a fire, the CPSC said.

The internal electrical connections of the wire mold and plug mold power strips are substandard, the CPSC said.  The recall affects all strips with part number "PX1001".

They were sold nationwide and online from February of 2011 through April of 2014 for about $40 each.
