DEFIANCE COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

One driver was killed in a rollover crash in Deleware Township.

It happened early Sunday morning on Coy Road.

According to troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jarad J. Sharp, 26, of Sherwood, lost control of his vehicle as the roadway surface transition from pavement to gravel.

Troopers say Sharp's Oldsmobile struck a small ditch on the right side of the road before overturned. Sharp was thrown from the car and died from his injuries.

Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non--life threatening injuries. Both passengers were treated and released.

Authorities say no one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

An investigation is underway.
