    Four suspects were arrested Thursday during an attempt to commit a crime at the South Mississippi Correctional Institution. According to prison officials, officers responded to a fence alarm around 5 a.m., July 31, 2014, at the SMCI campus located in Leakesville, MS where officers found two packages. ELLISVILLE – The forecast of rain on Friday has caused some schedule changes for the Region 23 Softball Tournament here at Jones County Junior College.

There will now be four games played on Thursday at Community Bank Park.

Game 1 will begin at 1 p.m. between top-ranked LSU-Eunice and Mississippi Gulf Coast. Game 2 between 2nd-ranked JCJC and Pearl River will start at 3 p.m.

The winner of Game 1 will meet the winner of Game 2 at 5 p.m. with the Game 1 and Game 2 losers playing at 7 p.m.

All games involving JCJC will air on www.jcjc.tv.

The times for Games 5, 6 and 7 will be determined by the weather forecast.

The top two teams from the region tournament will head to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament May 14-17 at Clinton's Traceway Park.

Game 4, Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 7 p.m.
