Ukrainian orphanage ministry coordinator visits Hub City

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Ukrainian Orphanage Ministry

A Ukrainian Baptist Pastor touring the United State introduced a new orphan care ministry to the Pine Belt Monday afternoon.

Nikolai Proshak met with residents at a luncheon held at the Movie Star Restaurant in Oak Grove to discuss the ministry.

His church, located in a small village near Zaporozhye, Ukraine, leads volunteers daily at an orphanage in their village.

According to Proshak, his church routinely serves more than 200 children.

Proshak said the purpose of the ministry was to rally interest in ministry partnerships.
