Red Cross opens Limestone Co. shelter

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Red Cross has opened a shelter in Limestone County for the benefit of storm victims.

Officials said the shelter is at Central Church of Christ, 320 US Highway 31 in Athens. It opened at 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

People who want to help in the wake of the storm system can download the ‘Team Red Cross' app and sign up to help, get training and receive notifications about volunteer opportunities. The app also includes recovery information for those affected by disasters.
