Deputies seek suspect in Anderson trailer theft caught on camera

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help in identifying a man they say is connected to a trailer theft that occurred on April 14.

According to the incident report, the victim said an unknown man came into his yard on Monticello Drive in Anderson and stole his open utility trailer. The trailer is described as a Lawrimore-brand 5x10 open trailer with wood floors and a wheel support.

The victim told deputies he had security cameras which captured the incident.

Deputies released pictures from the security system in the hope of identifying the person involved and the early 2000s model Dodge Caravan they said he was driving.

    A Jones County man has been charged with fraud after reportedly using a false identity to collect funds.
