Coroner: Body found in Dillon County died of natural causes

DILLON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - The body found Wednesday afternoon was that of John Phillip King, 64, of Latta, confirmed Coroner Donnie Grimsley.

An autopsy performed Thursday at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach revealed that King died of natural causes, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.

The deceased body was found on Ebenezer Road. Ebenezer Road is located just off Highway 501 near Latta.

Sheriff Hulon told WMBF News he was notified about the body around 5:15 p.m.
