HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Supporters of 4th Dist. Republican Rep. Steven Palazzo gathered for an open house Tuesday at his Hattiesburg campaign headquarters on Hardy Street.

Palazzo spoke about his many votes to repeal Obamacare and his efforts to minimize cuts in defense spending.

"(Voters) see that I'm delivering on the promises," said Palazzo. "I voted to repeal Obamacare 50 times. I'm not going to be done until we have relief for all Americans. I fired Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, so I've fulfilled my campaign promises from 2010," he said.

Palazzo will face former Democratic congressman Gene Taylor, Ron Vincent, Tom Carter and Tavish Kelly in the June 3 primary.
