RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

We are told that a missing Rankin County teen has been found safe this morning.

Jamiah Thompson, 17, was found on Monday morning at her aunt's house, according to Sheriff Bailey. We are told she is being taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

Thompson was last seen at her Rose Hill Road home in Puckett between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Her mother, Melissa McCray, said Jamiah was upset because she was placed on punishment.
