JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - An 18-wheeler struck a truck towing a car on I-59 on Wednesday around 10 a.m.
According to officials on the scene, two men were attempting to tow away a red four-door car that had been sitting disabled near exit 73 in the northbound lane of Hwy 59 for days. While pulling the car away, they entered the flow of traffic, and an 18-wheeler struck both vehicles.
Both men left the scene before the Forrest County Sheriff's office, the North Forrest Volunteer Fire Department, and Mississippi Highway Patrol could arrive. There were no injuries.
