MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -
A man is charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pointing his gun at another driver during a road rage incident.
Jeffery Prince was booked into the Rutherford County jail Saturday afternoon, according to a Murfreesboro police report.
Another man told officers he was driving near New Salem Highway and Warrior Drive when Prince cut him off in traffic. The driver said he then tailgated Prince before stopping in the emergency lane at a red light.
When the driver got out of his car, Prince pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the man's head, according to the police report.
An officer later questioned Prince, who said the other driver was screaming and cursing during the confrontation, and even threatening to kill him.
There were no witnesses to confirm either version of events.
Prince told officers that the other driver did not have a weapon on or around him, but he still pulled out his gun and pointed it at the driver, according to the report.
Police arrested Prince and towed his vehicle.
