LEE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) -

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested two individuals in response to a home burglary that occurred on Monday.

The Sheriff's Office received an alarm activation call at 1 p.m. on Monday in the 12000 block of Lee Road 279 in Beulah. Deputies responding to the call discovered that the home had been broken into and some property had been stolen from the home. The owner of the residence had installed a home security camera system, which captured the suspect and the suspect's vehicle on video.

Shortly after the crime was reported, deputies patrolling the area located the suspect at a business on Highway 29 in North Beulah. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Torrien Shane Sanders, and the passenger was identified as 23-year-old Thomas Brent Starkey. Sanders, and the vehicle he was driving, matched the description of the suspect captured on the home security camera system committing the burglary. There was also additional evidence located inside the vehicle by deputies and investigators that linked Sanders to the crime.

Sanders was arrested for third degree burglary and third degree theft of property, and is being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $4,000 bond. Starkey was arrested on an outstanding Failure to Appear Youthful Offender warrant, and is being held without bond.

The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 334-749-5651 or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-555-7847.
