MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

The Foundation for Moral Law, a Montgomery-based legal foundation dedicated to the preservation of Biblical values and the U.S. Constitution as understood by its Framers, announced Monday that it supports the decision of Robin Frazier.

Frazier, who is a Carroll County Commissioner in Maryland, has refused to comply with a federal judge's order that she stop praying in the name of Jesus Christ at the beginning of board meetings.

Kayla Moore, the President of the Foundation for Moral Law, wrote a letter to Commissioner Frazier stating that she is "most pleased and encouraged by her courageous refusal to continue the practice of opening board meetings with prayer, despite a federal judge's order that she refrain from doing so."

Moore also added that "no federal judge has the authority to dictate to the people of Alabama how they may decorate their judicial building, and likewise no federal judge has the authority to tell the people of Carroll County, Maryland how their elected commissioners should begin their meetings. We encourage Commissioner Frazier to stand firm with her resolve, and we hope the other commissioners will stand with her."

Kayla Moore's husband, Judge Roy Moore, is well known in Alabama after he was removed from his position as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court in 2003. Moore was removed after he refused to follow a federal judge's order to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the Alabama Judicial Building.
