An Eclectic man is dead after a single vehicle crash Friday night.

According to Alabama State Troopers Clifford Cleveland, 67, was killed when the 2005 Chevrolet he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash occurred at 9:20 p.m. on Alabama 229 at the 16 mile marker, near Tallassee.

Cleveland was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information is known at this time as the investigation continues.
