HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Preparations in Hattiesburg for the 30th annual Hubfest are continuing as scheduled, despite the rainy weather in the Hub City.
Thousands of people are expected to visit the historic downtown area for the event Saturday, which begins at 9 a.m.
Organizers hope the inclement weather will be gone by daylight and they say there have been no cancellations of festival activities so far.
"We will plan on being out there, unless something crazy happens with the weather, we're planning on having a great day tomorrow," said Liz Radley, director of communications and events for the Area Development Partnership, which organized the event.
This year's festival will feature 250 food, arts and crafts and information vendors, and for the first time, it will also have an international village, with Italian, Greek and Mediterranean, Japanese and Mexican foods.
