WDAM Viewpoint- Accountability

The subject of today's Viewpoint is accountability. Our thought is that before you can hold others accountable, you need to hold yourself accountable. We talk about this often here at the station and regularly get questions from you about who is responsible for a specific outcome.

Take for instance the states that have legalized the purchase and use of marijuana.  Those wanting to take part in this activity now have less accountability. What about teens in these states who no longer have a legal deterrent. Who will be accountable for them when they try it, like it and continue using? The eventual outcome of this legislation is not positive. Will those who pushed passage of the laws stand accountable? I highly doubt it.

We need to do a better job in our society of holding ourselves and others accountable.

    According to the town’s Facebook page, a valve on the main water tank broke, and maintenance crews had to cut water pressure from the tank to make repairs.
