LUMBERTON, MS (WDAM) - Lumberton police say the store manager that was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed several times Wednesday is improving.
They say she is still in the hospital, but no longer in critical condition. The unidentified manager was stabbed five or six times in neck, chest, and arm by a former employee. Authorities say twenty-nine-year-old Lamont Williams was arrested after a good Samaritan was able to catch and detain him until police arrived.
Williams is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He made his first appearance in Lamar County Justice Court Thursday where his cash-only bond was set at $150,000.
