William Carey's Knight Named NABC/NAIA Coach of the Year

Kansas City, Mo. - William Carey University head coach Steve Knight has been named NABC/NAIA  Coach of the Year the national office announced at the National Tournament Tip-Off Banquet on Tuesday night at the Kansas City Convenction Center. 

Knight, who was also named SSAC Coach of the Year, has guided the Crusaders to a school record 27 wins this season. The Crusaders stormed through the Southern States Athletic Conference with a perfect 18-0 regular season record to secure the SSAC West Division Title and then added three more wins to secure the SSAC Championship.

Knight is in his 32nd year as head coach of the Crusaders and has record over 575 wins and led the WCU to nine national tournament appearances.
