CPSC issues recall of Canon cameras

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issues a recall of cameras.

People should stop using certain Canon Power Shot SX50 HS digital cameras, the CPSC said.

A chemical used in the rubber part of the viewfinder can cause an allergic reaction to the user, skin or eye irritation, the agency said.

The affected cameras have serial numbers beginning with 69, 70 or 71 -- and have 1 as the sixth digit.

The cameras were sold from October of 2013 through January of 2014 at several major retailers.
