SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

In anticipation of the huge St. Patrick's Day celebration in Savannah, the Savannah Winds community wind symphony performed a concert Tuesday night.

Mark B. Johnson, Armstrong assistant professor of Music and Director of Bands, lead the ensemble in Robert Sheldon's "Savannah River Rhapsody", James Barnes' "Sixth Symphony" and famed march kind John Phillip Sousa's "Bullets and Bayonets."

"Everything from portions of a symphony to a march to some light selections, a lot of variety in the program," said Eric Heady, chairman of the board of directors for Savannah Winds.

The next big concert for the group will be a patriotic concert held during the Fourth of July.
