CPSC issues recall of throat protectors for lacrosse players

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issues a recall of thousands of lacrosse neck protectors.  The recall is necessary due to a laceration hazard, the CPSC said.

The STX Recalls Shield Throat Protector is meant to guard a goaltender's throat.  However, the protector can break when it by a lacrosse ball, the CPSC said.

The protectors were sold from September of 2013 through February of 2014.
