Two suspects arrested for shooting each other in Laurel

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Laurel Police Department

On Friday at approximately 12:13 p.m., officers of the Laurel Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at  Woodlawn Drive. 

Both victims left the scene at the time of the officers arrival.  Shamon Woulard who had been shot in the hand and upper leg was transported by personal vehicle to SCRMC.

Tevin Gilmore was shot in the upper left arm and was located outside his residence. Gilmore was transported to SCRMC by ambulance. 

After further investigation and after both subjects had received medical treatment, they were arrested and transported to the Laurel Police Department.

Woolard and Gilmore face one count of Aggravated Assault each for shooting each other.

Both will make their initial appearance in Laurel municipal Court on Monday. Lt. Jerome Jackson is the Lead Investigator in the case.
