LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A temporary worker with a cleaning service fell about four stories down an elevator shaft to his death Friday morning at a Louisville cement plant, according to police.

The incident was reported at 9:19 a.m. at CEMEX, the former Kosmosdale Cement Plant at 15301 Dixie Highway.

Police said the cleaning service team member, who is thought to have been cleaning the elevator, fell from the top of the shaft onto the roof of the elevator on the ground floor about four stories below.

Firefighters arrived to find the man deceased.

Foul play is not suspected.
