Donnie Tyndall not concerned with projections

ESPN's Joe Lunardi and his Bracketology may not be the end all be all when it comes to the final brackets for March Madness, but it's a pretty good indicator of where a team stands when Selection Sunday hits.

According to Lunardi, Southern Miss is on the outside looking in as one of the "next four out" team's, but USM head coach Donnie Tyndall, says he doesn't focus too much on the projections.

"I don't really look at the prognosticators and see where they have us. I check our RPI about once a week," Tyndall said at the team's media luncheon yesterday.

"I just concern ourselves with getting better everyday learning in the film room. Getting the right gameplan to our team and preparation for who we play next."

Tyndall also mentioned the team's main priority.

"Our goal is to win the regular season title and our goal is to win the conference tournament title.

"So, if we do that we don't need to worry about the rest of those things."

Southern Miss is ranked 42nd in RPI.
