Three arrested after attack on 62-year-old woman

Officials in Henry County say three suspects have been arrested following an incident in which a 62-year-old woman was attacked.

Police say 30-year-old Russel Dee Weaver of Taylor and 29-year-old Christopher Lee McWhorter were arrested following a report of a robbery on County Road 20, near Headland. A concerned citizen called in a suspicious vehicle, and after additional tips from the community led to the location of the suspects. 

The two suspects were reported to have been armed during the robbery and McWhorter is reported to have discharged a stun gun on himself before attacking the victim.

During this investigation the suspects were also linked to a burglary that occurred on Highway 134East near County Road 15. 31-year-old Sarah Melia West was also arrested and charged with her involvement in the planning of the burglary as well as the robbery.

West is charged with Conspiracy to commit Robbery 1st Degree, Conspiracy to commit Burglary in the 1st and Conspiracy to commit Burglary in the 2nd Degree.

All three individuals are being held in the Henry County Jail. McWorther and Weaver are being held on a $1.8 million bond. West is being held under a $750 thousand bond.
