In today's Viewpoint I would like to honor the life of a great patriot and Pine Belt resident. Col. George Robert Hall's passing was certainly a topic around our building today. I learned of his great heroism after being shot down during the Vietnam War and then being held as a POW for seven and a half years.
I think about what he and his family went through during that time and how that affected his life after. We should be grateful for what so many of our service women and men do to ensure our freedoms.
We would like to thank Colonel Hall and his family. His is truly a life worthy of remembrance and celebration.
