(WMC-TV) - A police officer and two suspects were shot in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas Thursday evening.

The officer was shot serving a search warrant. He and one of the suspects were sent to The MED. The second suspect is in police custody.

Family members of the two brothers who were shot are angry.

"They came inside the house shooting up in there, just went to shooting up in there ... Didn't say nothing just shot him," said fiancée Sherlita Bridget. "Then they was laying out on the ground, shot my brother-in-law, Charlie Randle, 9 times and they shot my boyfriend in the leg."

Family says the people shot by police are brothers Charlie and David Randle. They say the brothers shot back at police hitting the officer.

The Randle family says police did not handle the situation properly.

"Wrong is wrong and right is right," said sister Bobbie Randle. "You cannot go and knock on nobody door and then shot them down like a dog."

The officer and the Randle brothers were initially brought the regional hospital. Investigators say the officer was shot in the shoulder and arm. He and Charlie were taken to the MED.

Family members say the brother shot in the leg was being questioned at the police station. His brothers condition and the police officer's condition have not been released.
