Texarkana woman found shot to death identified

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Police have identified a woman found shot to death in her Texarkana, TX home early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to a home in the 7000 block of Shadow Brooke St. just after 12 a.m. Wednesday, where they found 42-year-old Carey Griggs dead of an apparent gunshot wound.

An autopsy has shown that Griggs had been shot in the mouth. Police say detectives are still investigating.

Griggs was a realtor at Remax Preferred in Texarkana.
