COLLEGE STATION, TX (RNN) - After being behind for most of the first half, Texas A&M pulled it together and ran away with the game, beating LSU 83-73.

The Aggies (14-10, 5-6 SEC) trailed the Tigers (15-8, 6-5) by as many as eight points in the first 13 1/2 minutes. They eventually pulled away, leading 43-37 at the half and at one time grab a 15-point lead.

Shooting was very close, with LSU holding a slight advantage in field goal and free throw shooting. Texas A&M, however, held a commanding lead in 3-point shooting, making 43.5 percent compared to LSU's 25 percent.

Jamal Jones led the Aggies with 19 points. Davonte Fitzgerald left the game before halftime with a left knee injury.

Shavon Coleman led the Tigers with 21 points and two steals. Jordan Mickey led with seven rebounds and two blocks.

The game marked Texas A&M's first win over LSU since joining the SEC and its second straight win at home after defeating Mississippi State last week. For LSU, the game was its fourth straight road game loss.
