WDAM Viewpoint- Tornado one year later

Posted: Updated:

I did not live here one year ago, so my knowledge of the February 10 tornado is limited to what I have heard from you and our staff here at WDAM. What I do know is everyone has a story which frequently includes where they were and how they heard about the tornado. I do not think I have gone a week since I moved here six months ago without someone referencing the tornado in conversation. It still amazes me that no one was killed during the event. What has stood out is the outpouring of hospitality and help and not just from our neighbors, but from all over the country - from church groups to college students and elected officials. It is great to be a part of such a giving community. Thank you for all you do and thank you for caring for one another.

This is today's Viewpoint.
