HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The nation's largest Red Cross Disaster Center is moving from Hattiesburg to Texas.
The center operates out of the Forrest County Industrial Park, utilizing about a fourth of the 750,000 square foot building formerly occupied by Sunbeam.
Officials said the lease on the building expires in June.
Red Cross officials said the center will move to Dallas and will give the organization better transportation access and costs options.
Officials said the move will save the red cross about $400,000 a year.
