No. 18 Kentucky rolls past Ole Miss 80-64

LEXINGTON, KY (RNN) – The No. 18-ranked Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Ole Miss Rebels 80-64 Tuesday night.

The win brings Kentucky (17-5, 7-2 SEC) to 5-0 at home during conference play. All three of the Rebels' (15-7) conference losses have been on the road. They now stand at 6-3 in SEC play.

After a brief Ole Miss lead mid-way through the first half, Kentucky took a one-point lead into halftime. The Wildcats broke away from the Rebels in the second half, leading by as many as 19 points.

Forward Willie Cauley-Stein led the Wildcats in scoring with 18 points off the bench. Four other Wildcats scored in double digits, including 16 points from guard Aaron Harrison. Kentucky shot 72.2 percent from the foul line and 51 percent from the floor, but made only two of its 13 3-point attempts. The Wildcats out rebounded the Rebels 41-26.

Guard Marshall Henderson led Ole Miss with 16 points, while guard Jarvis Summers scored 11 points. The Rebels shot 80 percent at the foul line, 38.5 percent from the floor and 28.6 percent from downtown.

Ole Miss will travel to Columbia to face the Missouri Tigers for a 5 p.m. ET tipoff Saturday. Kentucky will hit the road and face the Mississippi State Bulldogs for a 1:30 p.m. ET tipoff Saturday.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
