KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Brian Mitchell is wanted on a Missouri parole violation warrant for deviate sexual assault.

The original offense occurred in 2005 in Joplin and involved the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Mitchell's last known address was the Kansas City Community Release Center, 651 Mulberry St.

He absconded from that location in January, and his current location is unknown.

He is a registered sex offender in Jackson County.

Mitchell has violent tendencies and should be considered dangerous.
