Snow, sleet, and ice slam Region 8; more possible Tuesday

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Snow, sleet, and freezing rain fell across the Mid-South Sunday creating dangerous driving conditions on Monday as well.

In Jonesboro alone, E911 Director Jeff Presley said in the last 24 hours they have received, 35 non-injury accidents reported, 32 vehicles in ditches and three reported accidents with injury.

On Sunday evening, Jackson County Sheriff's Office told Region 8 News they had 21 accidents. Most of those accidents in that county said it included cars sliding of the roads. Both Lawrence and Clay County reported to have several cars in ditches but no injuries. In Piggott there were 5 cars and in Corning there were 8 cars reported to be in ditches.
