Tennessee defeats Ole Miss 86-70

KNOXVILLE, TN (RNN) – The Tennessee Volunteers defeated the Ole Miss Rebels 86-70 Wednesday night.

The Rebels (14-6, 5-2 SEC) trailed by double digits for most of the night and were down 21-8 with 10 minutes left in the first half. The loss ends a four-game winning streak for the Rebels, while the Volunteers (13-7, 4-3 SEC) have won two of their last three games.

Four Volunteers scored in double digits, and guard Jordan McRae led Tennessee with 26 points. Tennessee shot 88.2 percent from the free throw line, 55 percent from 3-point range and 49.2 percent from field goal range.

Guard Marshall Henderson was the Rebels' leading scorer with 26 points and Jarvis Summers scored 16 points in the loss. Ole Miss shot 66.7 percent from the foul line but 49.2 percent from the floor and 55 percent from downtown.

The Rebels will host the South Carolina Gamecocks for a 1:30 p.m. ET tipoff on Saturday. Tennessee will travel to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday for a 9 p.m. ET tipoff.
