Crockett Police searching for Aggravated Robbery Suspect

CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) -

The Crockett Police need thepublic's help in identifying a suspect in an Aggravated Robbery case.

Clayton Smith said that around12:30 p.m. on Jan.29, a suspect robbed the Hill Top Store in the 800 block ofNorth Fourth Street.

Smith said the suspect used a gunand took an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk.

"The suspect was described as a tall black male, with soft brown skincomplexion wearing a brown hoodie with orange writing on the back," Smithsaid. "The writing on the back could possibly be a Horse Riding Club logo.[The suspect was also wearing] tan colored pants with a bright pink bandannawrapped across his mouth.

Other agencies including the Houston County Sheriff's Office, DPS, TexasParks & Wildlife Game Warden, Houston County Precinct 1 Constable and theCrockett Housing Authority all assisted with the initial search.

Crockett Police Department requested assistance from Houston CountySheriff's Office tracking K-9 in an attempt to track the suspect in a woodedarea behind the store.  Anyone with information about the robbery is askedto contact Sgt. Clayton Smith with the Crockett Police Department at936-544-2021 or Crime Stoppers at 936-545-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 cash reward for informationleading to an arrest.
