Police looking for two people wanted in University City business robbery

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Charlotte are asking for the public's help in identifying several people wanted in the robbery of a University City cell phone store.

The incident was reported on Jan. 14 at 2:55 p.m. at the One of Two Wireless on the 2400 W. Sugar Creek Road, according to the news release from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police say two people walked into the store.

The first person took a cell phone from inside the business and left the store.  The clerk followed the suspect outside and that is when they pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the clerk.

The person then jumped in the back of the pick-up truck being driven by someone else.

The suspects left in an unknown direction of travel.  There were no injuries reported during this robbery.

The first person is described as an Asian or Hispanic male, in his late teens or early 20's, and was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket.

The second suspect is described as a white male, in his late teens or early 20's, dressed in all camouflage.

The vehicle is described as late 1980's to early 1990's regular cab white Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Anyone with information concerning this case or the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
